XIII BIENNIAL OF PHOTOGRAPHY
I. REQUIREMENTS
1. Aliens must verify their residence in the country for at least two years prior to the publication of this announcement.
2. Submit Registration Form XIII of the Biennale of Photography Contest, with all the requested data.

5. PDF formats should be handed printed in black ink. Also be delivered in digital format, as specified in subsection IV. REGISTRATION AND DELIVERY OF MATERIAL of this call.

II. RESTRICTIONS
7. May not participate middle and upper tiers of the National Council for Culture and the Arts, not the workers assigned to the CI.
8. May not participate in the first degree relatives of the jurors.
9. Only one registration is permitted by author.
III. SELECTION AND EVALUATION PROCESS
10. The selection process will be conducted in two stages.
11. Will appoint a panel of three photographers, researchers, critics and / or sponsors, whose names will be announced along with the publication of results. The jury will be complemented with the participation of a representative of the BOI, who will have a voice in the deliberations, but not to vote.
12. The photographic printing techniques, as well as item and the number of work left to the participant's choice, provided that no more than 3 meters per side as a maximum, or weighing over 50 kilograms. It is not necessary that the parts have the maximum.
13. The author's participation must maintain thematic unity and its conceptual and technical treatment.
14. The play delivered will be accepted as unique and unchangeable, and will be evaluated.
15. The artwork must have been carried out between 2006 and 2007.
16. The jury's decision is final.
IV. REGISTRATION AND DELIVERY OF MATERIAL
17. The participant will deliver his material as follows:
17.1 A CD with PDF files that contain the Registration Form, Curriculum Vitae and Form delivery of digital images, previously completed.
17.2 A CD with digital images. We do not accept disks, 3 ½, zip, or e-mail.
The CDs must be identified with marker on the disc (no label) with the name of the participant. The CD must contain two folders of images:
a) Images of registration. A folder for registration with scanned images at 72 dpi in JPG format. The largest side must not exceed 30 cm. Or weigh more than 4 megabytes (MB) per picture. Not accepted in Power Point presentations, Flash, Director, Web pages, Acrobat and so on.
b) High resolution images. In the event of being selected, this folder will be used to catalog and print outreach. These images should be scanned at 300 dpi, TIFF (uncompressed). The largest side should measure 30 cm. In this folder does not accept compressed images, or JPG format. Not accepted in Power Point presentations, Flash, Director, Web pages, Acrobat and so on.
c) The delivery of information without discs or whose files can not be opened, will be considered as material not delivered and did not allow his replacement, or change after the date of delivery.
d) Send only files in RGB or greyscale at 8 bits, no lock. Any image that does not comply with these guidelines, or any other file with termination for other applications, will be disqualified immediately.
e) It must include digital prints of each image in letter size, in order to correct the printing job, if published. These impressions of proof must concur completely with the work to be submitted to the competition.
18. Those interested should send the CI material as requested in the previous paragraph, together with the Registration Form XIII of the Biennale of Photography, the Curriculum vitae and Form delivery of digital images, printed as specified in Section 5 this call.
19. In the case of audiovisual and multimedia projects, should also annex the hyphen technician. This information must be included in the CD containing the images.
20. In the case of three-dimensional pieces will also be delivered by plane or image in the data sheet indicating that it is a three-dimensional piece with their respective measures and weight. This information must be included in the CD containing the images.
21. In the case of plants or projects that require electronic submission (DVD player, video projectors, televisions, computers or any specific equipment), participants must provide such equipment and securing the loan from them for display in the IC. These facilities and projects will not be traveling to the sample.
22. In the case of plants or projects that require special materials for the assembly of his work, the author should provide them, as well as an explanatory drawings for the same purpose. Either way, it is mandatory to send all images contained in the draft on the CD.
23. The receipt of the material will be open from the date of issuance of this announcement and will conclude on Friday, August 29, 2008 at 15:00 hrs. There will be no extension.
24. In the case of material sent by regular mail (postal) or courier, was taken as the delivery date of postmark or ballot issue.
After 10 days of complete closure of this call will not receive any material that comes through these pathways.
25. Not return the materials received in this stage of registry. Originals will not be accepted.
26. Upon receiving the materials not allow any changes.

V. DELIVERY OF FINAL WORK OF THE AUTHORS SELECTED
27. The Center for Imaging notified as of September 26, 2008 to selected participants, which will be agreed with the delivery of the final book.
28. The receipt of the final work will conclude on Monday, November 28, 2008 at 15:00 hrs. There will be no extension, nor accept any partial delivery.
29. For the final sample did not receive work that does not comply with the conditions proposed by the author at the time of registration.
30. The production and final assembly of the work being borne by the author. So too the relocation of it to the CI.
31. The large-format works should be resolved on the basis of their support, which will have to be suitable for the presentation, packaging and shipment, as the CI shall not be held liable for damage to the work that does not comply with these characteristics.
32. If the jury determines that the formal resolution of the work, not satisfied with the initial proposal can not accept it for the final shows.
33. The jury assigned the two awards from the final book.
VI. EXHIBITION
34. The selected works included an exhibition that will be presented at the Center for Imaging of February 19 to May 17 2009 and then displayed in the various headquarters of the Thirteenth Biennial of Photography, roaming for two years.
35. The museum of the sample is determined by the specialists in each seat, according to the peculiarities of the spaces and facilities available.
36. The assurance of the work on display and roaming will be managed by the IC and reception venues. Determine the value of the work on the basis of the replacement of the same physical and not from its commercial value, anticipating that there is some damage, the piece will be replenished to continue in the sample.
In the case of or polyptych ensembles, the replacement unit is damaged and in no case will be replenished all of the work.
37. The authors selected are committed to the loan of his work for two years.
38. The return of the works will be conducted from October 2010, at the Centro de la Imagen. The authors who reside outside of Mexico City and who wish to receive parcels by his work, must pay for that service.
39. Participants will have 90 calendar days to collect his work. After that period the book will be destroyed.
40. The authors selected and rewarded accept that his work is published in any medium exclusively for purposes of dissemination of the Thirteenth Biennial of Photography.
41. Each of the selected sign a contract to authorize the IC handling of his work, as well as a document authorizing the roaming of the same, which will be delivered, along with his final book, photocopies of the following documents: Identification Officially, Federal Taxpayers Registration and proof of address. If the author does not deliver such documentation his work may not be displayed.
42. The artists must accept the terms for the kind of assurance of the work, issued by the National Council for Culture and the Arts / CONACULTA
43. PRIZES The notice to publicize the winners will be issued in December 2008.
The list of selected will be announced on page IK: http://centrodelaimagen.conaculta.gob.mx and in two newspapers of national circulation.
44. PRIZE The jury awarded two prizes in a sum will be $ 75,000 MN pesos each.
45. The award-winning artists will receive financial support granted by the International Festival of Photography FOTOFEST, in order to participate in the Meeting Place of FOTOFEST 2010. As part of that support, will be exempted from paying registration fee in the event and will have covered their expenses for accommodation in Houston, USA during the same.
46. The award-winning works will become part of the collection of CI.
47. PREMIACIÓN The prizes will be awarded at the opening ceremony of the exhibition. Where it is winning author living in some states, the BOI will cover up to $ 15000.00 MN pesos in the cost of their travel and accommodation in Mexico City, according to the services it hires The National Council for Culture and the Arts for these purposes.
48. MENTIONS The number of honorable mentions will be submitted to the jury.
49. Audience Award This award consists of a silver medal with the emblem of the INBA, the author whose work has won the most votes from visitors to the exhibition in the IC. Visitors will have the right to exercise a vote during the exhibition. This recognition will be delivered in a special event.
50. A transcript records will be awarded to authors selected.
51. SCH was published a catalog of the sample and a copy thereof shall be delivered to each of the selected artists.
Any circumstances other than under this call will be resolved by the Centro de la Imagen.
