V Photo Contest "Camino del Cid 2008"

Camino del Cid Consortium announces the 5th edition of the Camino del Cid Photographic Competition, which aims to promote visual creativity and awareness of the general public the diversity and richness of historical, cultural, ethnographic and landscape Camino del Cid along the eight provinces for which the route passes.

BASES

1. Participants and number of photos
May be submitted to this contest as many people wish it. The photographs may be submitted by its authors. Each entrant may submit up to three photographs. Photographs must be unpublished and not being rewarded, or recognized or selected other events.

2. Themes
The photographs relate to any aspect to forward the historical, cultural, ethnographic and landscape Camino del Cid in the municipalities through which flows the Way, on its way through eight provinces that comprise it.

3. Application of the bases
The competition rules may be applied by postal mail at the offices of the Consortium "Camino del Cid"; by email: info@caminodelcid.org, and personally, in any of the Offices and Tourist Boards including the eight councils in the Camino del Cid (Burgos, Soria, Guadalajara, Zaragoza, Teruel, Castellón, Valencia and Alicante); on the internet through the website of the Consortium http://www.caminodelcid.org/

4. Photographs
The photographs are in color, not admitting black and white originals. Be submitted on photographic paper 20 x 30 cm, and should not be mounted or reinforced in any media (cardboard, passepartout, etc.).

5. Format and shipping
On the back of each photograph shall include the title of the work, the province, the place was taken, and photo number (if you have more than one). On separate sheet within the same envelope, clearly appears:

- Title of the work;
- Number of photography (if you have to contest more than one);
- Name of author;
- ID card or passport of the author;
- Address and telephone of the author;
- Place where the photograph was taken (specify the municipality and such other information identifying the image enough).

6. Shipping
The works will be presented or sent to the offices of the Consortium Camino del Cid. In the envelope stating: "Photo Contest 5th Camino del Cid"

7. Deadline for submission
The deadline for submission is 14 October 2008. For those photographs that are mailed shall be deemed as the filing date shown on the postmark.

8. Jury adjudication and awards
A committee will select the 76 previous best shots. Subsequently, the jury determined by the Consortium Camino del Cid will release its decision by 15 December 2008.

9. Awards
4 first prizes will be awarded and eight runners-up. The eight runners-up prizes will be awarded to the best photograph of each of the provinces (excluding the four winning photographs). The amount of the four first prizes and the runner-ups will be:

First prize: 600 euros
Second prize: 450 euros
Third prize: 300 euros
Fourth prize: 150 euros
Second prize, $ 100 each.

There may be a second prize to a participant who has won in this edition of the four first prizes. The amount of each of these awards will apply the relevant tax deductions. For the failure to be effective, the winners must provide the negative or digital file for printing high quality.

10. Property images
All winning works, the four first prizes and eight second prizes, will become the property of the Consortium Camino del Cid.

11. Non-winning Works
The winning authors will not withdraw their original written personally or through delegation initialed and mention the ID or passport. Not be returned by post any of the photographs to the contest. The deadline to withdraw the works shall be two calendar months after the ruling made public.

12. Other
The organizers reserve the right to address any contingency not provided for in the Rules, the attendance at this competition implies acceptance of them.
