Award-Petrobras Buenos Aires Photo (Argentina)

The company Petrobras Energia SA and publisher Arte al Dia invited to join the photo contest "Petrobras-Buenos Aires Photo.
The theme of the competition is free and the objective is to support new photographic manifestations.
Participation Rules
1. The contest is open to all amateur and professional photographers without distinction of nationality or place of residence. Family members can not participate or employees of the organizers or jurors.
2. Each author will participate in a single image in a rough measure at 20 x 30 cm. (send unassembled)
3 - Of all the works presented, the jury will select 12 finalists, who will prepare the final presentation for exhibition.
4 - Work on 20 x 30 cm shall be delivered until the 5th of September 2008 to name "Prize Petrobras - Buenos Aires Photo, personally or by mail at Arte al Dia, Parera 15, Piso 9, Ciudad de Buenos Aires, CP C1014 ABA Monday through Friday from 10 to 18 hours.
5 - The final size of the finalists' works will not exceed 1 x 1,50 m. The pieces must be mounted in frames or on fibrofacil 5 to 9 mm
6 - In a separate paper (paper or digital file) shall be given the author's full name, ID, title of work, technique, mailing address, email and telephone.
7 - The jury will consist of: Julio Sanchez, Rodrigo Alonso, Ana Maria Quijano, Alicia de Arteaga and Victoria Verlichak
8 - Awards: Among the 12 papers selected will be chosen:
1st Prize: $ 9000
2nd Prize: $ 4500
3rd Prize: $ 2000
4th Prize: $ 1500
5th Prize: $ 1000
Purchase Award: The first copy of the press run for each of the 5 winning works will be held by Petrobras Energía SA, which reserves the artist other copies of the print run and copyrights on them. The remaining 7 papers, finalists, winners will participate alongside the exhibition in Buenos Aires Photo Award 2008 as part of Petrobras - Buenos Aires Photo (2008 edition)
9 - The authors of the 12 finalists authorize their works to be exhibited, published and / or used as part of cultural activities, mentioned in all cases the title and name of the author, who retains his Intellectual Property Rights (Law 11.723 ).
10 - Schedule:
-Due submission of papers: 5 September

-Final presentation of the 12 works chosen: October 10
-2nd Jury Meeting effect select the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th prize: October 15
Awards ceremony: October 29 Location Palais de Glace
Exhibition: 28 October to 2 November at the Palais de Glace on the occasion of the Fair "Buenos Aires Photo 2008"
Return of work not accepted: to be removed from the Editorial Arte al Dia by 15 December 2008. After that date are not accepted claims for materials
11 - Any other issue not covered in the Basis of Participation will be determined by the organizers.
