Petrobras prize-Photo Buenos Aires (Argentina)

The company Petrobras Energia SA and publisher Art Day, inviting to participate in the photo contest "Petrobras-Buenos Aires Photo."
The theme of the competition is free and the objective is to support the new photographic demonstrations.
Rules for participation
1. The contest is open to all amateur and professional photographers without distinction of nationality or place of residence. Unable to participate relatives or employees of the organizers or members of the jury.
2. Each author may participate with one image on a rough measure for the 20 x 30 cm. (send unassembled)
3 - Of all the works submitted, the jury selected 12 finalists work, which should prepare the final submission for exhibition.
4 - The work in 20 x 30 cm shall be delivered until the day Sept. 5, 2008 in the name of "Premio Petrobras - Buenos Aires Photo," in person or by mail in the Arts Day, Parera 15, Floor 9, Ciudad de Buenos Aires, CP C1014 ABA Monday through Friday from 10 to 18 hours.
5 - The final size of the finalists works would be 1 x 1.50 m. The works must be mounted in frames or on fibrofácil 5 to 9 mm
6 - In a separate paper (paper or digital file) shall contain the information about the author: full name, identity card, title of work, technique used, postal address, e-mail and telephone.
7 - The jury will be composed of: Julio Sanchez, Rodrigo Alonso, Ana Maria Battistozzi, Alicia de Arteaga and Victoria Verlichak
8 - Awards: Among the 12 works selected will be chosen:
1st Prize: $ 9000
2nd Prize: $ 4500
3rd Prize: $ 2,000
4th Prize: $ 1500
5th Prize: $ 1,000
Acquisition Award: The first copy of the print run of each of the 5 winning works will be held by Petrobras Energia SA, reserving the artist other copies of the print run, as well as the copyright on them. The 7 remaining work, finalists will participate along with the winners in the exhibition Buenos Aires Photo Award 2008 as part of Petrobras - Buenos Aires Photo (2008 edition)
9 - The authors of the 12 finalists work allowing their works to be exhibited, published and / or used as part of cultural activities, all the cases mentioned in the title and name of the author, who retains his Intellectual Property Rights (Law 11,723 ).
10 - Schedule:
Expiration-of presentation of papers: Sept. 5
Meeting of the Jury for analysis of work: Sept. 11
-Notice of results of the finalists: As of September 15 will be in www.artealdia.com - www.buenosairesphoto.com
Presentation-final of the 12 works chosen: October 10
-The 2nd Meeting of the Jury in order to choose the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th prize: October 15
Award ceremony: October 29 Place Palais de Glace
Exhibition: October 28 to November 2 at the Palais de Glace at the Fair "Buenos Aires Photo 2008"
Return of work not accepted: They must be removed from the Editorial Arte al Día before December 15, 2008. After that date are not accepted demands for materials
11 - Any other issue not covered in the Terms and Conditions shall be settled by the organizers.
