Shows exposure scenarios of the Mexican Revolution
A journey through the landscapes that were scenes of the Mexican Revolution between 1911 to 1915 is what presents the photographic exhibition The Zapatista dream, which brings together works by Hugo Ramos and Manuel Brehmer, among other artists.
The exhibit mounted at the National Museum of the Revolution, where it will remain at the end of June, presents its images in the lives of peasants, soldiers in the Zapatista action or taking the photo next to your loved one, as well as documents and letters.
Curated by Carmen Tostado Gutierrez, the sample also contains historical maps of some states, as well as objects themselves from the contest as pistols, rifles, bullets, spurs and holsters arms, which bear witness to the life of a Zapatista soldier.
Visited mainly by students of primary and secondary schools, the exhibition The Zapatista dream, which was opened last April 19, contains various documents, including letters of correspondence between the heads Zapatistas.
Images from the lens of artists like Manuel Ramos, Agustin Victor Casasola, Hugo Brehm and CB Waite testify on the landscapes of Morelos, as well as the railroads of that era, which was the main means of transport.
Other images show the crops that attended the farmers on their land, the buildings where they kept the harvest and the way they dress.
Regarding the photographs, the exhibition, which also includes copies of sarapes and hats, with works such as Landscape of Cuernavaca, Hugo Brehmer, and Xochimilco, Landscape train to Cuernavaca and Amecameca, Manuel Ramos.
Also, planting sugar cane, Farmers transporting flowers acahul in Morelos, sugar cane mill, a revolutionary group hoping to Madero, Portraits of Zapatista leaders and Zapatista guerrillas in action, the Artistic and Literary Property Fund of the General National Archive .
The Zapatista's dream photo exhibition, which gathers more than 25 images on display at the National Museum of the Revolution and will stay until the end of June.
