Exhibit mounted Generation of Reform (Mexico)


As part of the celebrations for the 150th anniversary of the promulgation of the Constitution of 1857 and 90 years of the 1917 Constitution, the Pantheon Museum of San Fernando, of this capital, will display from February 5, photographs and original documents that bear witness to the struggle launched by the so-called Generation Reform.

The exhibition will illustrate Constitution of 1857 through photographs, maps, allegories, paintings, journals and documents of the time the fight of illustrious men like Benito Juárez, Ponciano Arriaga, Ignacio Ramirez and Francisco Zarco, who made possible the integration of Mexico as a nation .

Also includes information and images of Valentín Gómez Farías, Ignacio L. Vallarta and Guillermo Prieto, among others.

The Secretariat of Culture of Mexico recalled that the so-called Generation Reform is considered a watershed in the history of Mexico, which is why the philosopher Antonio indicate that the group had a strong conviction to achieve independence and sovereignty of the Mexicans.

Pantheon Museum in San Fernando, of this capital, the remains of some of the most prominent Mexican figures of the nineteenth century.

In mid-2006, a decree was issued that turned the complex into a museum to house what is relevant to the history of Mexico.
