Tuesday photoblog: Eternal Moment

Today we move north of the country, to Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, where Augusto Vera lies with the photoblog Eternal Moment. Here is his interview:

How and when it started in photography?
Working, deal with problems, educating, getting angry at the ineptitude of Mexican politics, and so on. Sound familiar?. Amid all this bustle, sometimes we all have a latent concern, which is not of vital importance for the daily tasks, like simply stays guajiro dream.

In my case, I was the typical family photographer, who always thought it would be fabulous to do something more with the photos you just capture them all in forced poses, photos or just common birthday, so in June of this year (2005) I decided take more seriously that concern, instead of leaving it on the list of things to regret not having done when you have 70 years (as the Merovingian from The Matrix: Who has time?, but nevertheless, if you take the time, How are you going to do?).

What does the picture for you?

I said that I decided to take seriously that concern, but since we started with that seriousness, the constant is the opposite: It's extremely fun. For some reason our eye is very accustomed to seeing without looking or observing and if you add to that the fact that we also see with the filter of our prejudices, the result is that when you see a picture through the lens, and stripped of the everyday, you start seeing things that really matter: aspirations, fears, excitement, grandiosity, tragedy, beauty, detail. The picture moves the sentiment of both the photographer and the viewer, and lays bare the essential truth of all.

What type of photography you like? (B & W, Color, Portrait, Macro, Landscape, etc.). And Why?

At this stage, I prefer to experiment with the whole range, so when "I go hunting" probably end when I was doing a Macro looking for a landscape. Once I finished doing modeling portrait done when he thought cityscape!, That aspect is very exciting adventure. Although as many photographers, I find the Black and White particularly effective for exposing the essence of what is shown.

What equipment do you use for photography? (Team photo, accessories, computer, software, etc.).

Photographic equipment: House SONY DSC-H1

Filters: Red for contrasting landscapes in black and white, UV all the time to protect the lens, polarizer when needed.

Lenses: Telephoto, (and soon a wide angle, which is taking on Amazon).

Accessories: Tripod Solidex large and small tripod kodak (they are cheap and good the Solidex).

Computer: Toshiba Notebook 3.2 Ghz

Software: Adobe Photoshop CS2 for post-processing and truqueo

What led you to start a photoblog?.

I feel like doing photo show, it's like buying the latest ways to make exercise .... And save it in the closet and never use it!. That's why I started MomentoETERNO.

When you start your photoblog?

At the time I started taking pictures, then I began the photoblog.

From where comes the name of your photoblog?

I walked "illuminated" by the enthusiasm of the picture .... and was the only thing that came to mind. Come to think, comes from the contrast to freeze something as fleeting, at half that can transcend the moment.

Where are located and what kind of system do you use for your publication photoblog?

I live in Monterrey, NL (although I am in Cordoba Veracruz), and I use the facilities of publication of Blogger.

Have you exhibited your photos off the Internet? Where?

On the walls of the offices of my business!, Besides that, I did not set out formally, but it would not be a bad idea if it is given.

For you photography is a hobby or do you spend in a professional manner?

I do not live in the photograph, I am co-owner of a business that demands my working hours, so it's a hobby I am trying to do as much as professionally as possible.

Tell us a little about yourself.

Only Veracruz is Bello, and I Augusto Vera who was born in Cordoba, Veracruz, I can attest. I am 38 years old, happily married to a Regiomontana, with 4 latosos, but intelligent children. Migrated to Monterrey to study at the ITESM, and here I got married and I stayed because I lost the accent of Veracruz, both to hear anyone who swears that Norteno ... I'm mimeticé to perfection.
