The best picture of 2006 by Times Magazine
As every year at this time, several news magazines and newspapers make a selection of what we consider to be the best pictures of the year ends.
The Times Magazine presented its selection, which included pictures of bombings in Baghdad, victims of the attacks in Lebanon, Condoleezza Rice (below), the eruption of Mount Merapi, and several more.

Usually selected photographs relating to conflicts in which one can see the victims, but this year the selection includes other items such as the Tour de France as seen from a kitchen or the eruption of a volcano. Which shows that photojournalism is not only show the human tragedy.
