The pictorial history of photography
The renowned magazine National Geographic developing a site in which you can see the history of photography in a timeline.
The story runs from 1826 with the first photograph made Joseph Nicéphore Niépce until 2006 with the first animal trap made with a digital camera by George Steinmetz.
Most likely there are many more events than those mentioned (only listed 26 events), and many more to come if continuous updates. But it is a very interesting way to learn a little more about photography.
