The exhibition Zip, the Left, will open on Thursday
Analyze photography and video, ie, the capture and recording of an instant, a place, an image, etc., not only as a paper resume, but in a creative way, is one of the objectives of the exhibition Zip, the artistal visual Jorge Izquierdo.
The exhibition will be presented on Thursday in the cycle Fotoseptiembre at Ex Teresa Arte Actual, the National Institute of Fine Arts (INBA).
The proposal will be presented with a table that moderate Susi Gonzalez and with the participation Monica Mayer, Alberto Hijar, Carlos Contreras and Javier Blas Galindo.
In addition, films will be two performances of Izquierdo: "Freedoms," in which he spoke of the prison in all of us, "Bad Education", which addresses the issue of education and "Lost Steps," which makes a analysis on the conflicts faced by pedestrians.
Zip is part of an investigation that began in 2005 as part of the projects of the National Center for Research, Documentation and Information Theater Rodolfo Usigli (CITRU).
The objective was to analyze the state of photography and video performance, his capture, publication and dissemination, from the results, make alternate proposals, said the artist.
In this sample, Izquierdo is a personal view of the performance, because this is an ephemeral art, photography and video form, on the other hand, an art that captures and stores the memory of the action.
In this connection it is proposed to "capture the action on a documentary and interpretive, so as to obtain different graphic materials for building and complement the content of the performance."

Izquierdo has been a member of the group of contemporary dance and Red Clay was director of the Frida Kahlo Gallery at the Culture Committee of the Union of Neighbors and Sinistrés of the Colonia Roma. Is a researcher at the CITRU.
