IV Certamen International Photography Industrial Heritage (Spain)

The Association of Industrial Archeology "Maximum Fuertes Acevedo" incunabula, convened and organized the Fourth International Photographic Competition on Industrial Heritage, with the intention to make the significant and wide field of archeology and the Industrial Heritage artistic language through a universal, as is the photographic art.

1. The competition this time, will focus "IRON TO STEEL Forging Metallurgical Industrial Heritage" with the aim of promoting, assessing and projecting images of a material wealth that we have to save from oblivion and destruction, preserved for generations future.

2. Participation is open to everyone regardless of age and nationality. Photographers can compete / as professionals or amateurs.

3. Size, technique and presentation:
• The work will be submitted on photographic paper, unframed and without passe-partout, with a minimum size of 20 × 25 × 30 and a maximum of 40.
At the same time, a CD with the digital archive of photographs to be
have the following characteristics: TIFF or JPEG format (with minimum compression), RGB mode, 300 dpi, size 20 cm. on the side.
• The work submitted must be original and unpublished. Each author may submit up to five photographs in black and white or color, accompanied by a brief text of five lines, which explains each work. Manuscripts that do not conform to the theme will not enter the contest.
• To maintain confidentiality, the originals must be presented with a generic title, or slogan which will appear on the outside of a sealed envelope and the back of each photograph. The interior will include the name of the author, his address and telephone number, email address
Electronic as well as a photocopy of your passport or identity.
• The deadline for completed works on September 1, 2007.

5. The winning photographs will be part of the documentary archive of the Association of Industrial Archeology "Maximum Fuertes Acevedo" INCUNA that it reserves the right to use for its advocacy of industrial heritage, nonprofit and to review the author's name / a .

The remaining works are on deposit for one year, a period in which, if the organization deems appropriate, be subject to exposure and playback purposes. After this time, if the author may want to claim a refund, if not become part of the documentary archive of this partnership.

6. The jury will be appointed by the organization, chosen from among professional photographers, historians / as and personalities from the worlds of culture. His ruling was made public to the media during the IX International Symposium on Industrial Heritage, which will be held in Gijón between 3 and 6 October 2007.

7. The decision of the jury is final and will reserve the right to interpret these rules.

8. It was granted a first prize of 600 euros (in purchasing a ticket to El Corte Inglés) which may not be declared void and two second prize of 300 euros each. The amount will be subject to withholding taxes required by law, unless exempted by the competent organ of government.

9. Participation in the competition implies full acceptance of these bases.
