Inaugurated photo exhibition of French Jean Lariviere.

Through the 30 works that make up the photo exhibition "L'Oeuvre," the lens of the French artist Jean Lariviere betrays his fantasy and imagination, in addition to the tour conducted by the world in search of images.

Similarly, the photographs that make up the sample, which was opened last night at the Museo Tamayo Arte Contemporáneo International marks the beginning of 20 years of collaboration with the creator of the brand Louis Vuitton.

Interviewed by Reuters at the opening of the sample, Lariviere recalled that in 1978 this mark that makes bags and suitcases to take it commissioned a series of plates for their catalog, which led him to travel from the Isle Guadaloupe to Rajasthan and New York to Montreal, where he took part for his photographs of landscapes.

He asserted that the iconography, composition, color and light are the elements that conceptualized, draws and decides in advance, and that once in place is given the time required to find the perfect location.

"When I started the project was nothing left to chance. Before starting or off the trip, I researched the region in question to form a mental picture of the idea that he wanted to translate it into a product, "he concluded.

In the photographs on display at the museum in Havana, Lariviere highlights his fascination with toys, because some of them born into a world that unites a surprisingly distant land to the reduced scale of one, which at times took a life.

Some of these photos were the start of work advertising for the mark, others appreciate the activities typical of the regions or her daily life: skiing, walking in the evenings or walks of tourists mounted on the humps of camels, or simply portraits of people.

The images of the exhibition "L'Oeuvre" may be admired by the general public that will make the journey in April, May and June for stores that mark located at Masaryk, Altavista, Santa Fe and Monterrey.

At the end of the opening ceremony, Lariviere took the opportunity to project his video art entitled "L'Oeuvre X", which collects much of his photographic work and be part of the show "Temptations of the Space," which will be shown to From May at the gallery L'Espace, located at the Maison Champs Elysees in Paris.
