III Photographic Competition "Camino del Cid" (Spain)

The Consortium "Camino del Cid" convened the 3rd edition of Photo Contest "Camino del Cid", which aims to encourage creativity and plastic to make the general public the diversity and richness of historical, cultural, ethnographic and landscape of the Camino del Cid along the eight provinces for which runs along the route.

BASES

1. Number of participants and photographs

May be submitted to this contest how many people want it. The photographs may only be submitted by their authors. Each participant may submit up to three photographs. Photographs must be unpublished and have not been rewarded, not selected or recognized in other competitions.

2. Thematic

The photographs will be on any aspect to convey the wealth of historical, cultural, ethnographic and landscape of the Camino del Cid in the municipalities through which runs the Way, on its way through eight provinces in the preparation.

3. The competition may be applied:

By mail: in the offices of the Consortium "Camino del Cid."

Personally, in any of the offices and Tourism Council of the eight councils in the Camino (Burgos, Soria, Guadalajara, Zaragoza, Teruel, Castellon, Valencia and Alicante).

On the Internet, through the website of the Consortium: www.caminodelcid.org

4. Photographs

The photographs are in color, not recognizing original black and white. Will be presented on photographic paper, 20 x 30 cm, and need not be mounted or enhanced in any medium (cardboard, Passepartout, etc.).

5. Format and shipping

At the back of each photo will be the title of the work, the province where it was taken, and the number of photo (if more than one). In a separate page within the same envelope, clearly displayed:

- Title of Work;
- Number of photography (if it is presented to the contest more than one);
- Full name of the author;
- The author's identity card or passport;
- Address and telephone of the author;
- Place where the photo was taken (to be specified by the municipality as well as such other information identifying the image sufficiently).

6. Shipping

The works will be presented or sent to the offices of the Consortium Camino del Cid. The envelope, stating: "Photo Contest 2nd Camino del Cid"

7. Deadline for submission

The submission deadline will be Dec. 15, 2006. Para aquellas fotografías que se envíen por correo, se considerará como fecha de presentación la mostrada en el matasellos.

8. Jury verdict and award-giving ceremony

A committee will select the 76 best previous pictures. Subsequently, the jury determined by the Consortium Camino del Cid made public his decision before March 30, 2007.

9. Awards

4 first prizes will be awarded and eight Special mention. The eight Special mention was awarded to the best photograph of each of the provinces (excluding the four prize-winning photographs).

The amount of the four first prizes and the Special mention should be:

First prize: 600 euros
Second prize: 450 euros
Third prize: 300 euros
Fourth prize: 150 euros
Special mention, 100 euros each.

It may not be a Special mention to a participant who has won this year in one of the four first prizes. The amount of each of these awards will apply the appropriate tax deductions. For the ruling is effective, the winners will be required to make the negative or digital file in high quality printing.

10. Ownership of images

All the works that won (the first four awards and the eight Special mention) will become the property of the Consortium Camino del Cid.

Eventually, the photographs may be used to pre conducting a roving exhibition on the photographic exhibition, which will take place during 2007.

11. Works not winning

They do not awardees may withdraw their original delegation in person or through written and initialed with details of the identity card or passport. Not be returned by mail any of the photographs for competitions. The deadline to withdraw the works is two calendar months after the ruling made public.

12. Other

The organization reserves the right to settle any contingency not covered by the Bases; competition in this contest implies the acceptance of them.
