FIRST: Participants

1. General population:

May involve individuals, seniors and residents in Spain, regardless of their nationality. Participation in this contest implies full acceptance of these rules.

2.Jóvenes in the region of Murcia (High School students, training cycles, University, ....) Younger than 25 years.

3. Practitioners of the Mass Media: Newspapers, Radio, Television

SECOND: Item

Theme: "THE PLANET EARTH AND THE MAN: A JOB OF EQUIPMENT."

ISSUES

1. Water (groundwater, seas, Mar Menor, ...) and natural resources (geological heritage, landscape, native plants ...)

2. The influence of man in the protection of Planet Earth (renewable energy, biodiversity, protected areas, organic materials, architecture integrated into the landscape, ...)

3. Areas and resources of the Earth in danger of extinction.

4. The climate and its influence on Earth and Health (public health, health risks from unsafe areas, effects of drought on crops, natural disasters ....)

Photographs must fit the theme, specifying the title and subject area, so it will conform to the content of the competition. The jury of the contest is saved the right of acceptance of the works are appropriate or not according to the theme of the contest.

THIRD: Sending works

Participants must complete the form of data on-line, attaching pictures from the website PUST, enabled for this purpose.

Each participant can send a maximum of 3 works.

The works should be sent via the form on the website PUST, in a JPG file format, to 72ppp, not exceeding 100Kbytes and with a size of 800 x 600 pixels (or 600 pixels on the shortest side). Format 25x 30.

FOURTH: Deadlines

The deadline for receipt of the photographs on the website of the UPCTserá from the day of publication of these bases on the bulletin board and website of the PUST until 24:00 am on Tuesday, December 5, 2006

FIFTH: Selected Works

From the works received in the specified period, the jury will select the finalists works to be published in the web of PUST on December 20 and will be presented at an Exhibition Hall authorized to that effect, over the period to be conducted Science Week in the Region of Murcia next year, 2007, and an Exhibition Hall empowered to this effect in the latter half of January 2007.

Selected works will remain in power and winning the PUST, always being used to identify the author or authors.

The works are not selected will be destroyed.

The SEEU will contact the authors of the selected works before January 12, 2007, in order to inform the jury's verdict ..

EIGHTH Awards

The jury of the contest will choose the 30 photographs (10 by mode) finalists that best fit the criteria of the competition, taking into account their technical and artistic quality.

Among the 30 photographs finalists will be awarded the following prizes:

* FIRST THREE AWARDS.

1st Prize. General, Youth and the Media: Manning with 600 Euros and a diploma.

* AWARDS THREE SECONDS:

2nd Prize: General, Youth and the Media: total 300 Euros and a diploma.

NINTH: Rights of exploitation of the photographs selected as finalists and the award-winning

In accordance with the provisions of the Copyright Law, author, subject of moral rights to it, yields to PUST as an exclusive and with the power to transfer to third parties, the economic rights of exploitation of the photographs purpose of this call.

Such transfers exclusively attributed to the PUST the right to exploit the photographs to the exclusion of any other person, including the author himself.

The public communication, meaning that right that any act in any medium or form and by any system or process that allows a plurality of people can have access to the photos without prior distribution of copies to each of them, free of charge, by payment or subscription, or not requiring the payment of an entry price, or through any other system of free access or conditional. This right includes express-ing the power to incorporate photographs in a database.

The rights granted as a matter of exclusive under this call to step into the public domain of the photographs and for exploitation around the world.
