I contest Photography DISEVEN "Architecture: The Light and Shadow" (Spain)

Introduction.
The architecture and photography are two arts that use the same measure of light. In the first, the light fills the rooms and make them habitable and the second printing of the final image captured. When photography and architecture are combined, the result is to go further, giving a turn to reality: use light to capture the light.

Nothing conveys the character of a people or a city as its buildings: the skyscrapers of Manhattan, the houses of Old city walls or punished by the time an abandoned village. The important thing is that the photographs evoke the spirit of the place.

Each building has its own character. Some evoke a feeling warm and cozy, while others convey the strength of the stone or the fragility of a glass window. We have to find the points of view and the light most appropriate to capture these feelings.

Issue

The photographs must be delivered to contest as a player at the architecture and must qualify under one of the three sections that are proposed:

1. Architecture and landscape
2. Subjects of architectural interest of Aljarafe
3. Details and textures

Presentation of work

Each participant may submit up to three shots per section. Not may submit photographs that have been rewarded or are presented in a similar contest.

The work will be in black and white, color or digital, photographic paper and free with a maximum size of 100cm x 100cm, glued on rigid support.

Sending the works

The works are presented to competition will have written the slogan on the back and an indication of the section you are presented.

They were accompanied by an envelope bearing the slogan on the outside, and inside it will include a tab with data from the author. The minimum data are: Name, Age, Occupation, Address, City, Phone and e-mail. It also may include a brief description of the works, explaining the location of the same, the technique used and all the data which may be of interest.

Lead time and place of delivery

The deadline for submission will end on April 30, 2007, at 2030 hours.

Jury

The jury shall consist of:

• Councilor of Urban Development Hon. Municipality of Bollullos of Mitación.
• Professor at the Technical University School of Architecture of Seville.
• Photographer specializing in Interior Design and Architecture.

The jury will decide this contest within a maximum period of 15 calendar days from the date of submission of the work and will choose the finalists and works including the award-winning works in each section.

Awards

Will be awarded a first prize and two Special mention for each section of the competition:

1st. Prize: 1000 euros.
2 Special mention prize of 250 euros each.

The jury's verdict is final.

There will be a public event with the exhibition of the winning photographs and a selection estimated by the jury, shall be declared the winners and handed the appropriate honors and awards for each mode.

Property

DISEVEN architecture reserves the right to publication and exhibition of the works selected and rewarded. The authors of the works selected and rewarded undertake to authorize reproduction for the purpose of dissemination through the media that edits DISEVEN architecture.

Refund
The photographs may not selected to move out to the offices of DISEVEN architecture over a period of 30 days after the exposure.
