It was opened the exhibition "Children of War"

The work of renowned photographers to illustrate the situation of about 250 thousand children who are illegally recruited to participate in armed conflict as soldiers, messengers, spies, policemen, cooks or sex servers in different countries make up the photographic exhibition "Children of War: Children devastated ".

Opened in Plaza Juárez, Alameda Central, the exhibition is an initiative launched by the United Nations Organization (UNO) as an emergency measure, to the children snatched the children living in armed conflict.

During the ceremony, Jadranka Milhalic, director of the Information Center of the United Nations in Mexico, said the exhibit is presented in the framework of the celebration of 64 anniversary of the founding of the organization.

He noted that the sample accounts for one of the most harrowing stories that are taking place in the world today.

He also added that the thousands of children who are in such dire situation, are forced to fight in the front or go to minefields, preceding regular troops.

Still others are even used to carry bombs in suicide attacks.

This, he added, is what is happening every day and is violating the rights of girls and children, destroying their childhood and jeopardizing their future.

He said that the sample contains a panel where advances are made known recently, to combat impunity for crimes against children.

According to the explanatory texts, in the case of Mexico, apparently, are not indices of children in armed conflict.

But a childhood with other problems, as in the streets, vulnerable, neglect, insecure, victims of all forms of abuse.

There are those who have more than enough and those who by their situation, and sadly jumped children are seen as potential criminals.

It also mentions that children who are in factories, in the streets, farm fields, in the fields of war experiences living and facing unsuitable for their age, surely many of them into adults doing things that you find inappropriate the vast majority.

Children no smiles, no games, but with much work is now on the streets of any city in the world.

The exhibition is presented in 10 panels, each with a short text and dozens of photographs showing the children in various situations.
