Inaugurated the exhibition Mesoamerican Biological Corridor
The ties between Mexico's environmental and seven Central American countries were strengthened, with the photo exhibition "Mesoamerican Biological Corridor: A space for Life, launched at the Gallery Rejas de Chapultepec.
Pedro Alvarez Icaza, director general of the Mesoamerican Biological Corridor-Mexico, told AFP that thanks to the presence of the Ministers of Environment of Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama and Guatemala, some agreements were reached.
One success was soon to form a council of ministers of Mesoamerica, composed of each country as well as a secretary.
The aim of the council will create an agenda of issues related to the illegal trade in natural resources, forest fires, and in general to the problems caused by climate change and the possibilities that have to counter.

Another agreement was dee scheduling the next headquarters of the exhibition, which consists of 116 photographs and for October to visit El Salvador during the Mesoamerican Expoambiental.
Will be presented later in Guatemala, Nicaragua, Belize and Mexico. This will be in Quintana Roo, Campeche, Yucatan, Tabasco and Chiapas.
At the opening ceremony, Alvarez Icaza said that during the time the show is in the bars of Cachultepec, there will also be the weekend sale of organic and natural products of Campeche, Chiapas, Quintana Roo, Yucatan, and several delegations of the Federal District .

Juan Rafael Elvira Quesada, director of SEMARNAT, found that through the "magic lens" of 12 artists, one can disseminate and promote the conservation of these natural resources, which represents a contribution to global level.

Fluvio Eccardi, one of the photographers involved, said that the sample represents a very novel and interesting of which is Mesoamerica, the area he knows well, having visited on several occasions.
The artist, originally from Italy and settled in Mexico, said he has spent much time across the area, knowing and taking photographs.

The exhibition "Mesoamerican Biological Corridor: A space for Life", will remain in the gallery Rejas de Chapultepec until August 30 and may be accessed by more than two million people, a figure that has provided a month.
