Fails collective naked in Colombia by criticism from Church
A naked, that was convened for the first time in Colombia to take a picture arts, failed under pressure from the Catholic Church, denounced today by the Colombian artist Freddy Arango.
The professional told reporters that the criticism of the clergy against the day led to only 22 people responded to the call, the day before, in the activity to be held in the city of Pereira, in the central department of Risaralda.
"The Church and a lot of political class was devoted to threaten almost (all) the people who was going to go," said Arango, who admitted that claims of religious Catholics against the taking of the photograph influenced the little assistance from volunteers.
He added that Eve lived a difficult process, because "the people who came (to the taking of the photograph) did not want to enter. Initially, three youths were stripped and it helped that people should be encouraged a bit. "
He explained that despite the lack of public presence in the plaza of the International Exhibition of Pereira, three women and 19 men, managed to take 210 pictures and playing with a lot of symbolism. "
"The idea is to rescue about 20 images good enough to make a good job of exposure," said Arango, who lamented that "after all that has created a number of things" to abort their activity.
He admitted that there is still a lot of prevention in people to shed their clothes and accept that this is part naked in an artistic work, it does not entail ignoring the moral values and Christian.
