International exposure and "Crisis and Change"

The Independent Photographers Collective, as part of the Festival Tragameluz 2008, calls for photographers from around the world to participate in the exhibition titled "Crisis and Change" that will lead to the winners of

Tragameluz Award 2008

Under the following basis:

1. The exhibition will have two versions:
a. Internet version will be carried out in a page on flickr
b. Version attendance (Outside 2008): Participants will be screened photographs of different forums in cities in Mexico on November 15, 2008.

2. Photographers winners will be made to creditors the following awards:
1st Place: Exhibition printed with its own selection and curatorship of the Independent Photographers group, which will be mounted as part of the festival Tragameluz 2009 in the city of San Cristobal de Las Casas, Chiapas, Mexico.
2nd Place: Website staff, with selection of art and design from the author, with domain and hosting free for one year beginning November 15, 2008.
3rd Place: Web site of a series or exhibition selected by the author and which will be located inside the www.tragameluz.org.mx

3. Each photographer may participate with a maximum of three photographs of him. (In case of climbing over the place indicated in point will be disqualified)

4. The theme of the photographs should be involved: Crisis and Change.

5. To participate recommended the photographers who have a Flickr account from where they can add their photographs to the group called "Tragameluz Award 2008".

6. Those photographers who do not have an account on flickr can send your photos to the following email address: fotografosindependientes@yahoo.com.mx

7. The archives of photos sent to the address above should have a resolution of 72 dpi, and a maximum of 800 pixels per side.

8. The reception closes parts of the November 15, 2008, at 10:00 am, while the center of Mexico.

9. The jury, composed of internationally recognized photographers, will meet on November 15, 2008 for participants to evaluate the photographs and assign the corresponding prizes.

10. The outcome of the contest will be announced during the projection of Version attendance (Outside 2008), on November 15, 2008, the Independent Kinoki Cultural Forum in San Cristobal de Las Casas, Chiapas, Mexico.

11. Similarly, the results will be announced the same Nov. 15, at 23:30 hours, on page http://www.tragameluz.org.mx and in the flickr group "Tragameluz Award 2008"

12. Any issue that is not covered in this call will be analyzed and resolved by the jury qualifier for this contest.
