Exhibition "Journal Polaroid" (Mexico)
Next Sunday September 2 opens the exhibition "Journal Polaroid" of Atonatiuh Bracho, inside one of the events of Fotoseptiembre 2007.
Under the technical Polaroid SX-70, the proposal incorporates every snapshot taken in several blocks or tiles. 600 Polaroid portraits that make up this exhibition have been arranged in 6 "mosaic" of different dimensions, so the largest has a dimension of 240 x 90 cm., To go with his other two mosaics of 60 x 80 cm. each, another 80 x 120 cm., and two more 80 x 80 cm. each.
In this way, the sample creates a path Polaroid Journal in which each of the faces that have landed before the chamber Bracho able to stay in these blocks, where the community preserves a space for the individual. Each character becomes the owner of the space and is at the same time, capable of creating stories, crossed eyes and weave among other networks mosaic portrait and the viewer itself. There is work the attempt to recognize ourselves as spectators, members of a large complex human, which is exemplified in each of these pieces.
