Exhibition "Vive Puerto Vallarta" (Mexico)


On the afternoon of Monday, the mayor Javier Bravo Carbajal, inaugurated the exhibition of work photo contest participants Vive Puerto Vallarta!, Which consists of 97 images that reflect the different cultural and tourist attractions of the city.

The opening of this photographic exhibition, held in the Chamber Hall of the City Hall, where Mayor Vallarta was accompanied by photographer Javier Perez Jimenez, coordinator of this project, the Secretary General Jose Emigdio Hurtado Rolon, the Director of Social Communication, Juan Carlos Peralta Cabrales and some participants of event.

The first mayor said that through this competition, the proposal that emerged from the photographer Javier Perez, is to promote the photographic activity and Puerto Vallarta as a tourist destination, so that this exhibition will seek to continue to take place in the following years and best works are part of a book that will hold to this tradition.

He further stressed that it was an excellent call for the population, as in similar competitions in other cities conducted between 60 and 70 participants, whereas this issue received the works of 102 competitors not only from this fate, but also Nuevo Leon, Nayarit, Guadalajara and Mexico, also counting on the participation of 6 children between 6 and 11 years old, bringing together a total of 286 photographs.

Significantly, the award of this contest, for the first three places and honorable mentions, will take place on Monday 14 July.

The exhibition will remain in the council room until the day of the awards ceremony and will rotate the pictures so that all are exposed
