Exposed in photographs efforts of Afghans to rebuild their city




The photographic exhibition "Rebuilding Afghanistan", which will remain on display at the Canadian Embassy in Mexico, plasma important moments in the life of the inhabitants of that place for rebuilding the city.

Launched yesterday, the exhibition is composed of 19 works in color and medium format of the artists Jason Ranson, Simon Duchense, Roger Lemoyne and Pedram Pirnia.

During his inauguration, the ambassador from Canada to Mexico, Guillermo Rishchynski, commented that those who know know that Canada is a nation that knows enhance human rights and recognizing, of course, those of Afghans.

"The three pillars of our society are peace, order and good governance, key elements of our social and political organization as a country," he said.

He added that despite being a very peaceful country, Canadians understand that sometimes we must uphold these principles can be developed nationally and globally.

He recalled that since before his confederation, in the mid-nineteenth century, have been engaged in actions in defense of freedom and democracy, and in the world wars in the twentieth century.

He also said that starting in the'50s, Canadians have been involved in the defense of many people under the command of the United Nations, upholding the rights of the innocent and minorities as well as the protection of civil order.

"It is not surprising that today Canadians are present in Afghanistan, to exert efforts under the command of the responsibility to protect an elected government of that country," said Guillermo Rishchynski.

The ambassador said the exhibition shows the efforts of defense, diplomacy and economic and human development, which is taking place in that country.

The exhibition includes works that reflect the laughter of a child, children who take classes at a school, men working on rebuilding houses and beautiful landscapes with those who still account Afghanistan.

Some of the titles of the shows that stand out are "To the north of Kabul," "Reconstruction of Kabul", "Children are the future", "A classroom", "A newborn in the hospital", "Refugees Back in the country, "" Working Together "and" Weaving carpets in Kabul. "

As well as "vaccines to a young man," "restore the rule of law", "Building democracy", "Equipment for mine", "Women Entrepreneurs" and "digging canals," among others.
