Meeting with Laila Chemekh (Venezuela)
Venezuelan photographer Laila Chemekh Saab will be talking about Honor, Kalbhi, his most recent work, this Tuesday May 29 at 8:00 at night in the spaces of Roberto Mata Photography Workshop. This sample consists of 22 images of Muslim women taken between 2001 and 2007 and is now out in the hall of NG la Casa Romulo Gallegos

"The material I will show in the chat will basically be accentuated in the sample Honor, kalbhi, describing the whole creative process, and conceptual photography of each image," says Saab. Laila Chemeck Saab is originally from Cabimas, Zulia state, but its descent is Syria, where he lived and studied for 7 years and then develop as an artist and professional photo in Venezuela. He has participated in exhibitions and art fairs like the National Art Salon Arturo Michelena, Visual Arts Hall of Zulia, Aragua National Exhibition, 2002 and FIA IV Youth Hall with FIA CANTV, and international as bâlelatina Basel (Switzerland), Art Miami 2006 (USA), AFF Comtemporarde and Art Fair (New York City), American Art 2004 (Florida, USA), 2003 Arte Iberoamerican (Florida, USA) and Art Toronto 2002 (Canada).
Roberto Mata Photography Workshop is a school that aims to recreate an environment in which students bring the challenge of designing an image and the same support that involves obtaining it. It is also a space that is dedicated to promoting and exchanging ideas on everything related to the fact photo. Since its inception in August 1993 - has served more than 2,000 students, many of whom remain actively linked to the Workshop and photography.
