Care of the camera lens

The lenses are one of the most important parts of the camera, as it is through them that is to capture the image, also serve to focus, control the amount of light and the possibility of closer to what you want to photograph.

In the case of the cameras "point and shoot" (point and shoot) have a system that protects the lens when not taking photos and in some cases to save the lens inside the camera body and a close above the protection same. This keeps the front of the lens protected from dust and scratches possible.

But the lens reflex cameras are always exposed to the weather and possible accidents. That is why we must take greater care not to suffer any setback.

One of the things that have always recommended the lenses with a UV filter. These lenses are seemingly transparent, and what they do is avoid a fog effect or distortion caused by UV rays, which are not visible to the human eye. These filters can be placed on the lens in almost any shooting situation so they do not affect the shots. Such filters are relatively inexpensive, costing an average of $ 20 ~ $ 30 U.S. dollars, and protect them from dust accumulation on the front of the lens, and that if it is hitting the lens for any situation, the filter will receive the coup and not the lens directly.

Another thing that must be taken into account in the care of the lens is clean it. Most of the lenses that are currently on the market with crystals that have special coatings to prevent certain types of distortion. These coatings are susceptible to scratching when cleaning, so before a cloth to clean any blower must be used to remove any rubbish that can scratch the lens. After removing them, you have to use some kind of fabric, leaving no residue. The type of fabric that are recommended are the micro-fiber, which does not release its manufacturing hair. The fabric can be purchased in stores or shops photography lenses. It is important to always maintain the clean cloth, so it's good to bring in a small plastic bag to prevent dust from falling further. This also applies to compact cameras, although the lens is protected when you turn off the camera, is much more exposed than in reflex cameras, as it does not have the ability to put a filter.

But most important to avoid dirtying the lens, is to prevent them reaching the powder. So long as you are not using a lens is important to put the covers both the front and rear, as this will keep you protected in your backpack or pocket where there is. For the lens that takes place in the camera, always try to put the front cover, this will also help if you accidentally hit the camera.

Another option to prevent the lens gets dirty, you take the camera most of the time in a case, this not only protects the lens, but also to the camera.

I am interested to know what kind of topics, tips and tutorials you would like to appear in this space, so I invite you to go to leave your comment.

Hello would like to know if you can put a tutorial on how I can clean a camera lens reflex step by step, with an outline or picture, I searched the net and not the meeting. More than anything because my lens is dirty and I do not want to take it anywhere to "clean" I have had bad experiences with people who know less than me. In any case I prefer to be myself if I could fix it.
Thank you

Marmota

The only cleaning that can be made is in the outer part of the lens, as many of them are sealed, so that only a specialized workshop in the open to make a clean interior.
