Kodak will keep the design systems of the cameras, as well as development and research.
This will make approximately 550 Kodak employees are being transferred to Flextronics International, which also will acquire part of the production center for Kodak in Japan.
Kodak was among the companies that were slow to enter the era of digital photography, stay longer because of the cameras with film, which was a market that has been declining steadily. While in 2004, Kodak stopped selling its film cameras in the United States, Canada and Europe.
