Call IV edition International Prize Arte Laguna: Painting, Sculpture and Photographic Art
ART. 1 - Purpose
The Cultural Association MoCA (Modern Contemporary Art) in collaboration with the Laguna Art Studio announces the Fourth Edition of the International Prize "Arte Laguna" in order to assess and promote contemporary art.
The Award is sponsored by Nikon, Juliet, Istituto Europeo di Design IED, Ministero degli Esteri, Regione Veneto. The contest is raised to offer cash prizes, a significant exhibition at the Arsenale in Venice, exhibitions in art galleries and publishing the same catalog.
The Prize, free themes, is divided into three areas: painting, sculpture and photography.
ART. 2 - Techniques
Participation Award is open to all artists, regardless of age, sex, nationality or other qualification. Each artist can participate with one or two works in more than one area. Specific techniques for each area are:
Painting - work done with all freedom of style and technique (oil, tempera, acrylic, ink, vinyl, watercolor, graphite, pencil, collage, etc.). And on any media (fabric, paper, wood, plastic, iron. ). The maximum size for each work shall be 150 cm. per side.
Sculpture - any work done using organic or inorganic material. Entries can use sounds, lights, videos and mechanical or electrical. It is possible to represent the works as digital photo project. The maximum size for each work will be: Core 2 meters, 2 meters deep, 2 meters height, weight 70 kg.
Art Photography - photographs with analog medium black / white, color digital photos in black & white, color, works wholly executed by computer. No videos are admitted. The maximum size for each work shall be 150 cm. per side.
ART. 3 - Jury
The selection of artwork will be completed by three Jury Award characters composed of esteemed reputation in the world of Contemporary Art:
Painting Jury President: Viviana Siviero (Art Critic) / Juror: Alessandro Trabucco (Art Critic), Igor Zanti (Art Critic), Stefano Coletta (Curator of the Bevilacqua La Masa Foundation, Venice)
Sculpture Jury President: Igor Zanti (Art Critic) / Juror: Alessandro Trabucco (Art Critic), Viviana Siviero (Art Critic), Lorenzo Respi (Curator of Arnaldo Pomodoro Foundation Milano)
Photographic Art Jury President: Alessandro Trabucco (Art Critic) / Juror: Rossella Bertolazzi (Director of Istituto Europeo di Design IED), Viviana Siviero (Art Critic), Igor Zanti (Art Critic)
ART. 4 - Awards
The Awards are:
Painting Prize: Euro 5.000,00 *
Sculpture Prize: Euro 5000.00 *
Photographic Art Prize: Euro 5000.00 *
Art For Business Awards
Special Award "Collezione d'Arte Tenuta S. Anna ": Euro 5.000,00 *
and reproduction of two selected works to be reproduced on the labels of two species of a prestigious wine, limited edition and sold worldwide.
This award is reserved for artists who enroll in the paint area 2 works.

* All cash prizes will be imposed, by law, a 25% withholding tax. Cash prizes will be awarded during the Awards Ceremony.

These exposures include assembly, vernissage and press releases to be completed by each gallery. The Galleries will assemble and organizing exhibitions. Transportation expenses (round trip) and insurance will be possible to collect works of Artists. The artworks remain the property of Artists. The gallery offers award winning artist will match directly the possible sale commissions. Arte Laguna will be responsible only for conducting website dedicated to the Prize, to publish the works and a biographical file.
Special Prize London CATCH BY THE EYES
Selection of an artist, among the finalists for the group exhibition organized by curator Magdalena Rutkowska Polish on the occasion of "Catch by the Eye, Save in the Heart", a high-level international project on emerging contemporary art.
Special prize Vienna ISTITUTO DI CULTURA ITALIANA
An expository summary of the finalists will be done at the Istituto di Cultura Italiana di Vienna, one of 90 institutes of Culture located throughout the world, places of encounter and dialogue among intellectuals, artists and cultural operators.
ART. 5 - Registration fee
The registration fee for the partial coverage of expenses of organization, is of 40.00 euro per 1 work and 70,00 euro for 2 works for the same area, this payment must be made as specified in Art. 6. For students under 25 years, enrolled at the school of Arts and the Academy of Fine Arts, the fee is 35.00 euro per 1 work and 60,00 euro for 2 works for the same area, in this case has to be attached a certificate of attendance of the Institute. The artists propose two works in the area of paint may participate without charge added to Special Award "Collezione d'Arte Tenuta S. Anna ".
Artists have to keep a copy of the payment. The registration fee will not be refunded.
ART. 6 - Procedures for registration
The maximum registration period for the artists will be:
On 15 November 2009: registrations by mail (be considered the date stamp issued by the post office).
On 26 November 2009: on-line registration
With the following two methods:
previo pago de la cuota de inscripción. 1) On-line: filling out the registration form found on page http://www.premioartelaguna.it/index.php/iscrizione.html payment of the fee.
2) Sending in a sealed envelope or personally delivering the Secretariat of the Prize (ARTE LAGUNA - via Roma, 29 / A - 31021 Mogliano V.to (TV) Italy) with the following documents: the registration form found in the website ...., a brief biographical description, a photograph of each work (minimum size: 15 × 20 cm. - Maximum size 20 × 30 cm.) write back: name, surname, country, title, size, technique, year and a copy of the payment of the fee.
None of these documents (not pictures) will be returned.
Payment of the fee must be made through:
1) Money Order: c / c n. 80409584 in the name of Associazione Culturale MoCA with the reference "Iscrizione Concorso 2009, name, artist name and phone number."
2) Bank Draft: VENETO BANCA-IBAN: IT96D0541861800039570322845 on behalf of Associazione Culturale MoCA with the reference "Iscrizione Concorso 2009, name, artist name and phone number."

The first selection will be made with photographs. Do not send the piece.
ART. 7 - The Exhibits
The Awards Jury will select 120 works (40 in each area). Those individuals will be asked the original piece, this must be sent for final selection.
Among the 120 works selected by the Jury choose 90 finalists (30 in each area) that will be part of an important group exhibition held between 6 and on 27 March 2010 at the Arsenale in Venice.
Other works will also be exposed at Istituto Romeno di Cultura e Umanistica Research of Venice, always over the same period as the other show.
The assembly and organization of these exhibitions will be at Laguna Art heals. Transportation expenses (round trip) and insurance will be possible to collect works of Artists. The names of the winners in each area will be communicated on March 6, 2010 at the time of the inauguration.
ART. 8 - Liability
The Cultural Association MoCA Laguna Art and ensure maximum attention to the cure and custody of the works, but rejected any responsibility for any theft, fire or damage of another kind, works or individuals that may occur along all the time the event. A possible application of insurance must be underwritten by the same artist. . In addition, we invite all artists to catch up on the development of the Prize, all information will be provided on the website upgrade www.premioartelaguna.it. The organization sent to all registrants to the mailing list Communications on the awards. It is recommended to specify an email, save the e-mail info@premioartelaguna.it and consult daily.
ART. 9 - Consent
The decisions of the Awards Jury will be final and unquestionable.
The winning artists are able to give the prize without asking for any way to redress Arte Laguna, in this case the prize will be reassigned in the order of the classification determined by the jury.
Each candidate allows Arte Laguna rights of reproduction of works of art and drafting texts for the catalog, file and publication of works on the website of the award and other forms of communication and activity organization.
Each candidate clearly authorizes Cultural Association MoCA, Arte Laguna and his delegates the use of personal data as indicated by the Italian Law 675/96 ( "legge sulla Privacy") and modifications of this law D.lgs. 196/2003 ( "Codice Privacy") also for the purpose of inserting into the database managed by the people above.
Award Participation implies knowledge and full acceptance of these Regulations.
Attachment 1: PRIZE "TENUTA S. COLLEZIONE D'ARTE ANNA "- SPECIFICATIONS
Tenuta S. Anna, a group company Genagricola SpA, offers the Special Prize "Collezione d'Arte Tenuta S. Anna "reserved for artists who sign with 2 works in the area of Painting.
"I colori della TERRA-THE COLORS OF THE EARTH" is the theme of the Prize, artists decide whether to propose the same or other 2-specific works. (u need to say specific of what, if not miss some sense)
The President of the Jury of paint will work with those responsible for the Company to select 2 works to be reproduced on the label of the most prestigious wines of Tenuta S. Anna, limited edition and sold worldwide.
The author of the 2 works selected will receive a cash prize of 5,000 Euro (as specified by law, shall be imposed a withholding tax of 25% tax).
Winning entries shall remain the property of the artist, the right of priority over the acquisition of work by Tenuta S. Anna by 5 (five) years.
The Tenuta S. Anna reserves the right to edit, complete or partial, of the works of the participants in the label own wine bottles, promotional purposes or for commercial release. With the entry to this contest allowed artists Tenuta S. Anna the free use of images waiving any right in this regard (including copyright). The artist surrenders the right to resale (droit de suite).
Artists can register for the Special Award Tenuta S. Anna until 30 September 2009.
