Invitation to participate in dance photography competition

The Autonomous University of Sinaloa, the Cultural Center of the Performing Arts and Contemporary AC μthros Contemporary Dance Company convened the Second Dance Photography Competition.

The contest was held within the framework of the activities of the VII International Contemporary Dance Soloists and duets, which will take place from November 28 to December 7 in Culiacan, Mazatlan, Mexicali and Obregon.

The photographs must be taken to compete under the Meeting of Monday 30 November to Thursday 4 December this year.

For its part, the City of Culiacan, through the Municipal Institute of Culture, the State Government of Sinaloa, through the Instituto Sinaloense de Cultura, and the seventh International Contemporary Dance Soloists and Duets, summon the National Competition XII Choreography "Hector Chavez."

Participation choreographers over 20 years, Mexicans or foreigners, in the genres of contemporary dance, ballet, folklore scenic projection and jazz dance.

Taking into account current trends in development and mainstreaming of the various artistic disciplines, this event will be held from November 28 to December 6.

The National Contest and International Exhibition will be held Videodanza in order to provide a platform of exhibition and meeting place of all trends and styles, promote research, innovation, and the use of forms of composition and imaginative staging of vanguard.

Through this meeting is intended that the participants explore the expressive possibilities of movement (human or material) as a means using a camera.

Videodanza, not the video recording of a dance piece, but the creation of a montage made especially for the camera or adjusting an existing one.

To be selected creative work, whose research focuses on the body axis, camera and audio-visual area.

Open to all visual artists and / or scenic interest in publicizing their work and encourage reflection and analysis of this artistic expression, and can do individually or in groups up to a maximum of eight people.

The closure of the call will be on Monday 16 November this year. Not receive any work after this date.
