Rallied to make the capital mural made with photographs of cell

With the certainty that anyone can participate in building a work of art and that not everything that is offered in the streets of Mexico City is consumerism, the plan was created to develop a mural made of thousands of photographic images taken with a cell phone.

Driven by the Pedestrian Project, the proposal calls for all who wish to participate in an image taken on any city to return it before February 25 next email fotocelular@gmail.com.

The idea is to build a wall made of thousands of images taken by the capital city, and not confined to cars and tour the city from May 9 in the following Metrobus or be at the spectacular view ads, billboards light and parabuses.

The Project's objective is to find the pedestrian public space is an art collective, which is known to everyone, regardless of age, sex or education, or even quality or resolution of the images.

The theme of the call is "" How you move in the city "and one of the ambitions is to make a portrait of the times we live under the premise that many are willing to be part of a work of art, as demonstrated by the massive naked Spencer Tunick.

To say the organizers, "but we are all artists, anyone can participate in building a work of art, because the emotional and spiritual wealth is not labels," according to a statement on the number 02 "Chilanguía," published the Ministry of Culture of the Federal District.

"The art adds tends to interact with the public and we know that people want to participate, so let's use the infrastructure that the government has the capital for people to express what they think and feel."

Therefore Pedestrian Project, which coordinated Samuel Messina and Carlos Acevedo Prieto, includes many other things, will include presentations by surprise dance companies in the Metro, works of visual artists in squares and streets, and lectures on art and public space.

It is also an opportunity to link independent cultural groups, including 20 companies that will participate in "Dance minutes," collective work, which meets through a call whose term will expire on February 1 next.

The overall intention is to create small islands and moments that are men, and children mujers while performing their daily activities, and are not rich people to pay a ticket to enter the art or be an expert.

It is worth mentioning that Pedestrian Project with the participation of artists of great experience in working in open spaces, comom Miguel Angel Diaz, founder of the Journal Assault and photographer Francisco Mata.

"We want to break the impression that everything we provide is directed towards public consumption. It sounds romantic, but it is the only way we can present the life not only as something that has to be functional, "organizers said.
