National Photography Contest 2008 Cuartoscuro

Cuartoscuro invites all photographers (professionals, students and amateurs) Mexicans or foreigners resident in Mexico to participate in the National Photography Cuartoscuro 2008, whose theme is the cuisine.
BASES
Those interested should submit their proposal Picture (single photo or series of three to five pictures) in color or black and white, captured and printed with the technique of your choice (traditional or digital processes old.) Digital manipulations will not be accepted.
Images must be referring to the Mexican food from any point of view and in all its expressions (kitchens, restaurants, taquerias, festivals, pulquerías, canteens, comilonas family or friends, succulent dinner, torterías, stalls, tamalerías, bakeries, chocolate, traditional preparations), in both Mexico and other countries in which event the Mexican cuisine.
There will be a single category. It will emphasize the content and aesthetic quality.
Participants should bring a recovery fee of 50 pesos (FIFTY PESOS 00/100 MN) per share. The deposit must be made to account number 4029272887 HSBC Bank in the name of Cuartoscuro Co. The deposit slip or proof of payment must be submitted attached to the pictures.
ENTERTAINMENT
The photographs should be submitted printed on 8 × 10 inches, unmounted, and digitized on a compact disc to 300 IPRs, JPG format, at a size of 11 × 14 inches.
Authors should write on the back of each picture and the compact disc in his pseudonym.
In a separate, sealed and labeled with the name chosen to be included: name, age, address and e-mail, phone, title of the photo, date and place of making and technique to capture and print the image. (The papers do not contain data on the outside of the contest are listed).
By participating photographers express their conformity with the basis of this call and allow organizers to use their images for display and promotional purposes, without affecting their copyright.
The deadline is open from publication of this call and until Wednesday, March 31, 2008 at 16:00.
The work must be delivered personally from 10:00 to 16:00 hours in Juan Escutia 55 Col. Condesa, 06140, Mexico DF, or sent to the same address in a sealed envelope.
If sending photos by regular mail or courier, competitors must ensure and certify it is taken as the date of the receipt showing the postmark.
The winning images not be collected during the month following the announcement of the decision of the jury, after this date, Cuartoscuro is not responsible for the material.
AWARDS
First: 50 pesos
Second: 30 pesos
Third place: 20 thousand pesos
JURY
The jury will be composed of professional photographers, and evaluate the content, technical and aesthetic quality of the images. May take its decisions by simple majority and its decision is final.
The members of the jury will select 30 images, including the winners, to be published in the revised Cuartoscuro 90 (June-July 2008)
The ruling will be announced on June 2, 2008 in the pages www.cuartoscuro.com.mx and www.cuartoscuro.com, which also will announce the date and place of the award.
Anything not covered in the call will be resolved by the jury.
