THE INSTITUTE OF THE ARTS OF THE IMAGE AND THE SPACE (IAIME) UNDER THE 1st INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF FIRE, OPEN TO THE PUBLIC IN GENERAL, THE DESIGN OF DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY, "CREATIVE FLAME"
On the occasion of the celebration of the 1st. International Festival of Fire Yaracuy state in the next
April 25, 2007, the Ministry of People's Power for Culture, through the IAIME, extends
an invitation to all Venezuelans to participate in the Photography Contest
Digital "CREATIVE FLAME," title of the first Digital Photography Contest of the Class Elements
(Fire, Water, Air and Land). This will start the 2007 season of concursosiaime.com.ve
The symbolic meaning of the Fire is of fundamental importance to different cultures,
but it has become a controversial element. The fire lies to the south, the color
red, summer and the heart. On the other hand relates to spark the start of the changes,
the revolution, with internal heat, with the wandering souls, and especially with passions
as a spirit of love, among others.
The participants are free to choose the direction of creative photography: exalt
the aesthetic beauty of his ardor in natural fire, capturing its brutal transforming force in
the industrial context, to reflect the ecological tragedy that generate forest fires, put
demonstrates the vital contribution of fire in the domestic environment, or allowing the image is
mechanism of complaint to the pollution caused by the burning of
debris.
It is not necessary that participants have previous knowledge of photography
BASIS OF COMPETITION
There will be 12 winners, 10 of them chosen by the public through online voting. Contestants choose one of the following awards:
-2 Computers last generation
-10 Digital Cameras
The deadline for receipt of photographs is August 31, 2007.
The public will have the opportunity to make their ballots via this website, between July 24 and August 31, 2007. There will be a raffle in which all voters, giving them a chance to win Kits Material Officer IAIME.
Who can participate:
- All Venezuelans without age limit
- Foreigners with more than 5 years residing in the country without age limit
- It is not necessary to have prior knowledge of photography
Theme of the contest:
- The Fire
Photographs of the
- Each person can participate only with one (1) photo
- It is all that original photographic work and without tinkering
- Participate only the images captured by digital devices (digital cameras, phones
cell phones and webcams)
- The pictures must not have participated in any other photographic contest and must have been previously exhibited
- It will discard any photos that are identified as obscene, provocative or offensive contains any item. Nor will accept any picture manipulated.
- By sending a photograph, the participant warrants that it is work that is original and exclusive owner of rights, which is a true and faithful representation of the material presented and no other group has any right, title or interest in photography.
- All images participating in the contest will be part of the heritage of the Institute of the Arts of Image and Space (IAIME). The authors grant a perpetual license, and without international royalties for displaying, distributing and reproducing the photograph-full-or part thereof in any media existing or subsequently developed with editorial purposes, without any participation or further review.
Of the participation
- Fill out the form available on the site www.concursosiaime.com.ve and follow the instructions for sending the picture via the Web.
- Only include the pictures received between April 25 and August 31, 2007
Jury Qualifier
- The selection panel is composed of five (5) specialists in the field of arts and
photo
- The jury will evaluate all the photographs and recorded the best 50 photographs, which are arranged in an online gallery for the voting public.
- It is the responsibility of the jury awarding the Jury Prize and Special Mention.
- The jury's decisions are final
The voting public
- Through a popular vote will be awarded 10 prizes.
- The public may vote for your favorite photo through, as of September 10, 2007 through www.concursosiaime.com.ve
- The voter must fill out the registration form available for that purpose.
- Voters may only vote to grant a photograph of your choice
- The duration of votes from this September 10 and October 31 of
2007

Of the prizes
Will be awarded the following prizes:
- Jury Prize for best picture "Call Creative: Computer last generation with
LCD Monitor
- Special Jury Mention: Digital Camera semi
- 1st. Audience Award: Grand Prix of the public, will be awarded by vote online through
the website, this award will consist of a computer with the latest generation LCD monitor
- 2nd to 10th Audience Award: Digital camera 6-MP
The awards
On November 15, 2007 will be published on the site of the official list of winners of the
Digital Photography "Creative Flame."
The awards ceremony will be held on November 24 in Maracaibo, Zulia state, in
the 1st International Festival of the Earth.

Call Creative about the competition: For more than a week I tried to go to this page for the competition and the page simply does not open. I wonder who will participate and who will vote for the pictures if you do not have access to the page.
It is a good initiative but I think it has serious technical problems muuuy.
