Competition Facts about Disability "(Mexico)

DO IT NOW is an initiative of the Association for Persons with Cerebral Palsy IAP (APAC), the Mexican Confederation of Organizations for People with Intellectual Disabilities AC (CONF), cover AC, Kadima AC and AC Fundacion Teleton Mexico, under the coordination of this latter, which seeks to improve the quality of life for people with disabilities and their full integration into society.

Disability (whether physical, intellectual or sensory) is a condition that occurs when a person requires significant support to develop the skills of daily living and achieve independence and autonomy in the living environment. Our challenge as a society is to provide these supports to people with disabilities to facilitate their integration process.

In order to promote a culture of integration into society of persons with disabilities as well as develop and promote photographic creation, is summoned to participate in the photography competition "ABC OF DISABILITY.

BASES
FIRST .- Participants individually amateur photography students, or professional photographers who reside in Mexico, whether domestic or foreign.

SECOND .- inspired photographs may be submitted in one (or several) of the concepts grouped under the 29 letters of the alphabet, as indicated in the glossary will be available on the website of DO IT NOW: www.hazloahora.org.mx.

THREE .- (the) concept (s) selected (s) is (n) axis and theme (s) photo (s), la (s) which (s) shall (n) be recently produced unpublished and have not participated in other competitions.

FOURTH .- Each participant may submit up to two photographs of authorship for each letter of the alphabet, for a maximum of 58 photographs.

SEVEN .- The photographs must be submitted in an envelope or sealed package, labeled under a pseudonym, addressed to:
PHOTO CONTEST "ABC of disability", which should include a card with the following information:

5. Photocopy of official identification: voter registration card, passport, professional or primer

7. Concept that represents the picture

EIGHTH .- The envelopes or packages should be delivered or sent by registered mail or courier to the following address:

NINTH .- photographs will be accepted from the date of publication of this announcement and until 25 July 2008.

TENTH .- The participants agree to abide by the foundations of this announcement and are legally responsible for all matters relating to the authorship of the photographs. We will not accept photographs that embody or represent trademarks, artwork, historical monuments, symbols or all those things associated or connected with a right of intellectual property.

THIRTEENTH .- The authors whose photographs are selected by the Jury qualifier, agree to participate in this Contest, transferring all the economic rights on the (s) photo (s) hold for AC MEXICO Telethon Foundation, running around time except moral rights (author credit). If

FOURTEENTH .- The Jury shall give special consideration for the selection of the winning photos:
1. The fidelity and originality in the representation of concepts chosen according to the glossary
2. The technical quality in photographic composition
3. The will of style or artistic intention
4. That the representation is always done with regard to persons with disabilities

FIFTEENTH .- The Jury will award the following prizes to the best three photographs:
FIRST PLACE: a laptop, an HP Designjet Z3100, CARTRIDGE AND PHOTO PAPER brand * Hewlett-Packard (HP), recent model.
SECOND PLACE: A PRINTER, CARTRIDGE AND PHOTO PAPER, brand, Hewlett-Packard * (HP), recent model.
THIRD PLACE: A PRINTER, CARTRIDGE AND PHOTO PAPER, brand, Hewlett-Packard * (HP), recent model.

The winning photographs will be exhibited in an area renowned and emblematic of Mexico City.

The Jury may select other participants photographs are also displayed in this area of Mexico City. The authors of these pictures will receive a Diploma of Participation.

Besides winning photographs of the top three spots, MEXICO AC Telethon Foundation may choose some pictures of those who obtain Diploma of Participation to conduct breeding, exhibition, publishing, editing, fixing material and / or distribution as part of project disclosure photographic content of values "ABC OF DISABILITY DO IT NOW.

SIXTEENTH .- The winners will be announced through a newspaper ad or notice to be published in October 2008 in one of the largest circulation national newspapers. May also consult the competition results from the month of October 2008 on page DO IT NOW: www.hazloahora.org.mx.

SEVENTEENTH .- The Jury will be composed of members of the photographic community, artists, and one representative from each of the organizations that are part of the initiative do it now and your vote will be final and unappealable.

EIGHTEENTH .- The Jury shall decide any matter that is not considered in this call.

NINETEENTH .- Prizes will be awarded during the month of November 2008 in Mexico City, on the date will be announced on the website: www.hazloahora.org.mx from 1 November.
